Some journeys are remembered for the places you visit. The most extraordinary are remembered for the people who invite you in.
WHY THE COTSWOLDS?
There is an England that exists beyond London — one of honey-colored villages, winding country lanes, ancient estates, neighborhood pubs and landscapes that seem almost untouched by time.
This is the England we came to experience.
For four nights, we’ll make our home in the village of Lower Slaughter, giving us time to settle into the rhythm of the countryside rather than simply passing through it.
From here, we’ll explore the people, places and traditions that have shaped this corner of England for centuries — from grand country houses and remarkable private experiences to farms, village paths and tables shared with the people who call the Cotswolds home.
Then our journey carries us south to Arundel and finally Bath, each adding another distinctly English chapter to our story.
Seven days. Three very different settings. And an England best discovered slowly, personally and together.
This isn’t simply a tour of England.
It’s an invitation to become part of the story.
We invite you to take your seat at the table.

Rothes Glen, Speyside
June 21–27, 2027
Limited to 14 Guests
Reservation Deposit: $3,000 per person
There are places in the world that seem untouched by time: The Scottish Highlands are one of them.
For six unforgettable nights, Rothes Glen becomes ours — a magnificent private castle in the heart of Speyside, where crackling fireplaces, warm hospitality and centuries of Scottish character welcome us home each evening.
But this is not simply a stay in a castle.
Our days unfold through experiences created around the people, traditions and stories of Scotland. We'll walk through the history of Culloden and the ancient stones of Clava Cairns, share whisky and conversation with renowned whisky expert Charlie MacLean, experience the traditions of Gaelic music, and discover a side of Speyside that cannot be found on an ordinary itinerary.
And then there is The Gathering — an afternoon on the grounds of Rothes Glen filled with Highland tradition, friendly competition, music, laughter and a few surprises we aren't quite ready to reveal.
There will be music and art, whisky and cigars, wonderful food and plenty of laughter. There will also be something increasingly rare in travel: time. Time to linger over breakfast, sit beside the fire, wander the grounds and enjoy the people who have gathered around the same table.
Our final evening brings together many of the threads of the week — an extraordinary dinner, some of Speyside's whisky makers, Scottish music and one last gathering around the fire.
This is not simply a tour of Scotland.
It is an invitation to live inside it for a little while — surrounded by extraordinary beauty, remarkable people and moments that cannot be replicated.
At A Culinary Society, we believe the best journeys are not measured by the miles traveled, but by the stories we carry home.
